On Saturday, Ronaldo surpassed Drogba’s milestone of 36 years and 267 days. Before halftime, he gave United the lead with a superb far-post volley against Spurs.
Then, to sweeten the deal, he put up Edinson Cavani for the club’s next goal in the second half with a brilliant slide-rule ball.
Marcus Rashford, who came on as a second-half substitute for Ronaldo, scored the game-winning goal four minutes from time.
At 36 years and 267 days old, Man Utd’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the oldest player to both score and assist a goal in a Premier League game since Didier Drogba in December 2014 – who was also 36y 267d and also did so against Spurs. Spooky.

When was the last time Drogba scored and assisted in a Premier League match?
Drogba was 36 years and 267 days old when he accomplished this milestone, by the way. To add to the irony, it was against the same opponents — Tottenham Hotspur – and finished in a 3-0 win.
In a 3-0 win for Chelsea over Spurs in December 2014, the Ivorian set the record. In the 19th minute, he assisted Eden Hazard’s opening goal at Stamford Bridge, and three minutes later, he scored himself.

They both did it against Spurs. They were both exactly the same age 👀 pic.twitter.com/KIjt6ZEYxg
