According to Bruno Alves, Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Juventus to “get the Scudetto back and undertake one last assault on the Champions League.”
A number of top teams, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and even Manchester City, have been linked with Ronaldo, who is in the final year of his Juventus deal.
Despite his numerous efforts, the great forward has been chastised by fans and the media for failing to lead the Old Lady to continental triumph, a task many believe he was born to perform.
The Bianconeri haven’t won the Champions League since 1996, and CR7 came the closest to ending that drought in his debut season with the club, when his heroics helped them reach the quarter-finals.
His international friend insists that the Portugal captain, who is a “natural winner,” will not walk out the Juve exit door without giving it another chance.
Alves says Ronaldo will stay at Juventus
On Ronaldo’s future, Alves told Tuttosport, “I haven’t talked about these things with him.”
“I believe he will stay at Juve in the end because he still has a job to do: reclaim the Scudetto and make a final push for the Champions League.
“Cristiano is a natural winner who is always looking to prove himself.”
