Cristiano Ronaldo is a’really modest’ and a ‘good person’ to be around away from the cameras, according to Jesse Lingard.

Lingard was asked about CR7’s impact at Manchester United off the field and his own relationship with the superstar during a press conference ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier in Andorra on Saturday.

“He has a very humble demeanour.” Lingard said of Ronaldo, “He’s a positive person.”

“Learning new things both on and off the field has been quite beneficial. This season, I believe he can be a huge asset to the squad.”

On the field, Ronaldo’s impact can be seen for everyone to see.

Since his return to Old Trafford, the 36-year-old has scored five goals in six appearances.

Although results haven’t always gone United’s way due to some dubious decisions, his impact has been felt across the locker room.
