Cristiano Ronaldo landed in Tehran on Monday for the AFC Champions League Group Stage game against Iranian club Persepolis.
Hundreds of Ronaldo fans stormed into the hotel for a glimpse of the Portuguese superstar after he arrived with his teammates for the game.
Al Nassr is set to play the Iranian side Persepolis in Tehran on 19 September.
The AFC Champions League game is only possible due to the better diplomatic relations between both countries. The two countries reconciled in March 2023. The last time a team from Saudi Arabia faced an Iranian team was in 2015.
Ronaldo will be in Tehran for two days and will be staying at the Espinas Palace Tehran Hotel. A suite has been reserved for the star player.
The craze for CR7’s arrival is huge as the fans gathered at the airport for his arrival and back at the hotel where he will stay, just hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite player.
